Chemical Name: 3-Indolebutyric Acid Potassium
Chemical formulation: C12H12KNO2
Molecular Weight: 241.33
Physical and Chemical Properties
Potassium indole butyrate is an off-white crystalline powder, easily soluble in water, and stable in neutral and alkaline media. Compared with 3-Indolebutyric Acid, it is relatively stable to light and heat.
Function Characteristics
IBA-K is an auxin plant growth regulator, which can be absorbed by the roots, stems, leaves and fruits of plants.
- It can induce the differentiation of root tissue, stimulate hair roots, and increase the number of root systems;
- Promote cell elongation and regulate the growth of various organs and tissues;
- Improve the absorption and operation of nutrient elements, regulate vegetative growth and reproductive growth;
- Similar to NAA(-NA), but safer than NAA(-NA), safer to use;
- Similar in function to IAA, but more stable than IAA and more applicable.
