Physical and chemical properties

White crystal powder, melting point: 228-230ºC; insoluble in water and most organic solvents, soluble in DMF、DMSO and strong acid and alkali. Stable under neutral conditions, stable to light and heat.

Function and Characteristics

Benzylaminopurine belongs to the cytokinin class of plant growth regulators, which can be absorbed by different parts of the plant, such as stems, leaves, fruits, buds, flowers, etc. It is used in different periods and has different effects:

1. Promote the differentiation of non-differentiated tissues;
2. Promote the germination of seeds and buds;
3. Improve photosynthesis and promote grain development;
4. Promote flower bud formation and flowering;
5. Promote fruit setting, protect flowers and fruits and induce female traits;
6. Promote fruit expansion and induce tuber formation.
